Shower
Steam curled through the bathroom, softening the edges of the room as warm water cascaded over his shoulders. Droplets traced slow paths across his skin, catching the light before disappearing into the swirling water below. He stood still for a moment, eyes closed, letting the heat ease the tension from his muscles. The scent of cedarwood soap mingled with the fresh, clean air, and he ran a hand through his damp hair, breathing deeply as the rhythm of the shower drowned out the noise of the day. When he finally reached for a towel, his skin was flushed from the warmth, and he carried that quiet sense of calm with him as he stepped back into the room.
